First, open the Instagram app and go to My Page in the bottom right corner. Then you will see three lines in the upper right corner, click it to enter settings.

Type ‘delete’ in the search bar and click Delete Instagram Account in the first line of results. Then, help according to the environment you are connected to appears. I’m on an Android phone, and to delete my account, I can’t do it from the app, but it says to do it with a computer or mobile browser. However, if you click the ‘Android App Help’ section, Android App Help, Computer Help, iPhone App Help, and Mobile Browser Help will appear. Choose dual computer help.

We are almost there. A hidden delete account button appeared. Click on Delete Account. Choose the reason you want to delete your account.

Select the reason you want to delete your account, enter your password and click on the button to delete your account. Finally, a pop-up window will appear asking Are you sure you want to delete your account? If you click OK, your account will not be deleted and you will have a grace period of one month. If you do not log in during that period, your account will be deleted, and if you wish to use your account again, you must log in before the end of the month.

I tried logging in again. A screen similar to the picture above will appear. If you do not log in by the previous day of the month, your account will be deleted, and if you change your mind and want to use it again, just click Keep Account. When I clicked Maintain Account and logged in, I was able to confirm that the photos were not deleted and kept intact.
To delete an account or deactivate an account on the webpage, the help says to enter the Instagram address and enter. If you access the Instagram homepage from your mobile phone, sometimes it keeps connecting to the app, so it’s simple if you enter the address of the help page directly.

Deactivating your account on PC
To deactivate your account, log in to Instagram on the Internet window, click your profile picture at the bottom left > Edit your profile > Go down to the bottom of the screen and click Temporarily deactivate my account, select the reason you want to deactivate, and click your password to deactivate. It’s possible. If you want to re-enable it, log in and it will activate without prompting you.
