소액 생계비대출The small living expenses loan launched by the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency is gaining popularity. However, as the demand for loans increased, it was difficult to apply for a reservation for a consultation in advance, and even if a reservation for a consultation was made, it took a considerable amount of time because you had to visit the Microfinance Integration Center in person and receive face-to-face consultation. Accordingly, there were complaints among those with low credit, such as vulnerable groups who needed urgent money, that the product was not very effective.
Accordingly, the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency is considering a plan to enable non-face-to-face loan counseling for existing borrowers who want to take out additional loans, and plans to decide whether to implement it before the end of September. However, applicants wishing to receive new loans are likely to receive face-to-face counseling as before.
According to the financial sector and the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency on the 25th, the small living expenses loan is a policy finance product that lends up to 1 million won for living expenses to adults with a credit score of 20% or lower and an annual income of 35 million won or less, regardless of delinquency history. The basic interest rate is 15.9% and can be lowered to 9.4% depending on financial education completion and interest payment history.
Loans for small living expenses can only be obtained through a face-to-face consultation by making a reservation for a consultation in advance through the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency’s phone, website, or app and visiting the Microfinance Integration Support Center in person.
From the first day of launch (March 27), the Small Living Expenses Loan experienced confusion due to delayed access to the website due to the influx of applicants seeking to receive the loan. Accordingly, the Financial Services Commission changed the method of reserving consultation schedules not only for the week of the loan but also for the next four weeks on the application date (every Wednesday to Friday). As demand for loans for small living expenses increased, 5,499 loan applications worth 3.51 billion won were received within a week of launch.
Among these, there are quite a few applicants who complain of inconvenience regarding the process of receiving small living expenses loans.
First of all, it is difficult to make a reservation for a consultation in advance. When an applicant tries to apply for a consultation reservation in advance, the application for consultation reservation is filled quickly and the application itself cannot be made, or even if the applicant applies for a consultation reservation, the application is located at a microfinance integration center located in a different area than the microfinance integration support center in the applicant’s residential area. In some cases, you may need to file an application at the support center.
Above all, even if it is difficult to successfully apply for a prior consultation reservation, you must visit the Microfinance Integration Support Center in person and receive face-to-face consultation. Accordingly, some point out that the policy is less effective as vulnerable groups or people with low credit who need urgent money cannot receive loans quickly.
Accordingly, the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency is considering a plan to promote a non-face-to-face counseling method, rather than a face-to-face counseling method, for existing borrowers seeking additional loans. The loan limit for small living expenses is 1 million won, with an initial loan of 500,000 won and additional loans provided if the interest is faithfully repaid for more than 6 months.
Existing borrowers who received a loan in March of this year can receive additional loans starting in September, six months later. However, the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency’s position is that non-face-to-face counseling is difficult for new borrowers with small living expenses. This is because small living expenses loans can help people with low credit to improve their debt structure by connecting them with debt adjustment and welfare through face-to-face counseling.
An official from the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency said, “Currently, we are considering whether to implement a plan to enable non-face-to-face counseling for applicants for additional loans for small living expenses,” and added, “Since additional loans will be made from the end of September, “It will be decided whether face-to-face counseling services will be provided,” he said.
He added, “However, applicants seeking new loans will likely need to receive face-to-face counseling as before, as counseling must be done in connection with debt adjustment and welfare.”
