Mobile T-money User Guide
T-money is a transportation card that can be used to pay for public transportation fees such as buses, subways, and taxis in South Korea. In addition to the physical card, there is also a mobile version of T-money that can be used on smartphones. Here’s how to use T-money on your mobile device:
1. Download the T-money app: The T-money app is available for download on both the App Store and Google Play. Search for “T-money” and download the app.
2. Register your account: Open the app and create a new account. You will need to enter your personal information, including your name, date of birth, and contact information.
3. Add money to your account: Link a payment method to your account, such as a credit card or bank account, and add money to your T-money balance.
4. Activate your T-money: Once you have added money to your account, you need to activate your T-money card. Press the “Activate” button in the app and enter the card number.
5. Use your T-money: You can now use your T-money to pay for public transportation through your smartphone. Simply hold your phone over the card reader to pay. You can also use your mobile T-money to pay for taxis and make purchases at convenience stores.
6. Manage your account: The T-money app allows you to manage your account, check your balance, view transaction history, and update your personal information.
Note: Some mobile carriers in Korea may offer a service called “T-metro,” which allows users to pay for subway fares through their mobile carrier bill. This service requires a separate registration process and is not the same as the T-money app.
