Eligible for basic income support for youth in Gyeonggi-do in the first quarter of 2024
Eligible for this year’s first Gyeonggi-do youth basic income support are 24-year-olds who are registered as residents in Gyeonggi-do as of the date of application (born between January 2, 1999 and January 1, 2000) and have lived in Gyeonggi-do for more than 3 years, or This is a young person who has lived in Gyeonggi-do for more than 10 years.
However, this year’s youth basic income project cost is shared by Gyeonggi-do (70%) and cities and counties (30%). In the case of Seongnam City, the related ordinance was abolished, and Uijeongbu City was excluded from the project because it did not allocate a budget due to financial issues, so please keep in mind when applying. !

Osan City Local Currency Five Color Exhibition
Young people eligible for youth basic income can receive basic income of 250,000 won per quarter, up to a maximum of 1 million won per year. Basic income is paid in local currency that can be used in the city/county of the person’s address, and can be used at traditional markets and small businesses in the region.
It is also necessary to check the expiration date of the local currency paid. The local currency validity period is 3 years (Siheung, Gunpo, Gwacheon: 5 years) and will expire if not used within the period. In addition, please note that it cannot be used in department stores, large supermarkets, SSM, entertainment establishments, and stores with annual sales of more than 1 billion won!
Application Period & How to Apply
Applications for the 1st quarter Gyeonggi-do Youth Basic Income will be accepted from February 29th (Thursday, 09:00) to March 29th (Friday, 18:00), and can be found on the Gyeonggi-do job platform Jobaba (http://apply.jobaba) You can apply online or via mobile after registering as a member at .net). Among existing recipients, those who have agreed to automatic application will be automatically applied and do not need to apply separately.
When applying, you must submit ① an application form, ② an abstract of resident registration (issued within the application period / * automatically submit an abstract of resident registration when agreeing to use the My Data service), and ③ a certificate of basic livelihood security recipient (limited to those who are eligible).
When filling out the application, please check from which quarter you are eligible for payment. Submission documents must be submitted as of the date of application, but must include the date of occurrence, reporting date, reason for change, address change history for the past 5 years (continuous residence for more than 3 years) or in total (residence for a total of 10 years or more), and the last digits of resident registration number.
If you are confirmed to be eligible for payment, the subsidy will be paid starting April 20th.
Gyeonggi-do’s youth basic income system, which guarantees the basic social rights of young people, is a great help to those who need living support before entering the labor market.
