1. Criteria for charging TV license fees

After calling 123 (without an area code), agree to the collection of personal information and request to cancel TV reception
KBS license fee counseling center phone or website reception
Apply for license fee cancellation by phone to the KBS License Fee Consultation Center (1588-1801) or through the KBS website (kbs.co.kr)
If you request cancellation of your TV license fee over the phone, you will be asked a simple question to confirm that you have a TV set installed in your home!
Up to 3 months of the TV license fee payment can be refunded immediately from KEPCO. However, please note that for refunds of more than 3 months, you must make a separate inquiry to the KBS License Fee Consultation Center! You can get a refund after explaining the fact that the TV set did not exist during the payment period.

If a person who is not in arrears pays the TV license fee for 6 months or more, half of the 1-month license fee (1,250 won) will be reduced for every 6 months!
