At our home, we don’t use a separate cover for the air conditioner—
we just leave it standing,
so naturally, dust tends to accumulate.
It might look fine on the outside,
but a professional will come to check it,
and they’ll inspect things like refrigerant levels—
which are difficult for the average person to assess—
using special equipment.
What does the inspection include?
The LG free air conditioner check-up covers:

Checking the condition of the indoor and outdoor units

Cleaning the filters and removing dust

If necessary, internal cleaning and maintenance services
While self-check options are available,
if you feel unsure,
it’s a good idea to request the free inspection
and have a professional technician take care of it.
If you run the air conditioner without cleaning the filters,
it could lead to respiratory issues due to mold and other factors.
Also, the inspection isn’t limited to the living room unit—
I’m thinking of asking them to check our 2-in-1 unit in the master bedroom too.
The free inspection covers one air conditioning unit per household.
