Change my birthday to private
After running the Kakaotalk app, press <More> on the right of the bottom menu, and the following screen will appear. If you look at the top right here, you will see the <Settings> icon in the shape of a cogwheel, so let’s press it to go in.
When you enter the settings menu, you will see your Kakao Talk profile at the top and click the Manage Profiles button on the right side of the picture to enter.
If you scroll down to the bottom of the menu, you’ll see an item called <Birthday Notification>. The toggle key will be activated on the right side of the item, so tap it off, turn it off, and return it to inactive. After this setting, your friends will no longer receive birthday notifications.
Change my birthday date
Next, I will explain how to change the date of your birth if you enter the wrong date. Likewise, on the Kakaotalk <Settings> menu, let’s press the <Kakao Account> menu this time. You will see a message about your account, and you can proceed by pressing the <OK> button at the bottom.
If you enter the <Account> tab, you will be able to check the menu <Manage My Information> at the interruption. If you press it, you will see <Birthday> below the nickname column. Tap to enter.
You can easily change it by entering the desired date in the input window. After changing it, you have to press the <OK> button at the bottom to save it, so don’t forget this part.
Unveiling your friend’s birthday notification
The following is how to set it up if you don’t want to see your friend’s birthday notification. In Kakao <Settings>, we will press the <Friend> menu this time.
If you enter the friend item and scroll down, you’ll see the item <See your birthday friend> and you’ll see that the toggle key on the right is ON. Tap to disable and your friends’ birthdays will no longer appear as your notifications.
