Applying for a card is simple. When you just enter the app, it keeps telling you to apply for a card on the main screen. I just didn’t see it. In the photo above, I have already applied for a card, so the card application field has disappeared. Originally, there was a card application button in the place marked in blue above.
The Travel Wallet card is divided into a check card and a Woori Bank credit card. I did not want to pay an annual fee, so I applied for a check card with free withdrawal and payment fees. When you use a check card, the Japanese yen stored in the Travel Wallet app is deducted every time you make a payment.

At this time, it is meaningless to urge Travel Wallet to quickly create a card. This is because it is done sequentially. Even when I contacted the Travel Wallet customer service center, they responded with fast delivery However, you can request urgent delivery as long as the card is transferred from Travel Wallet to the card delivery company. Jeniel System is a delivery company, and the service is so good that they provide an emergency delivery service.

Because I applied on a Saturday, the card production order was not placed right away. The status of card production was maintained until 5 PM on Monday, and it was transferred to the ‘Jeniel System’ on Monday night. At this time, it changed to shipping.
Perhaps because the customer was asleep at night, I received a call from Travel Wallet on Tuesday morning. It is said that it has been handed over to the Jeniel system. If you would like to request urgent delivery, you must visit the Travel Wallet dedicated bulletin board below and make a request.

If you leave an urgent delivery request by entering basic information such as name, date of birth, invoice number, address, and departure date as above, it will be delivered to the delivery driver in charge of the Jeniel system, and the driver will make the urgent delivery. The driver may call you or leave a text message, so it is recommended that you hold on to your smartphone. Please note that if you post before the card is transferred to the Jeniel system, it is meaningless because there is no invoice number.
If you are really pressed for time and want to visit a Jeniel System branch to pick it up, you can contact the call center in advance and make an appointment. I requested urgent delivery because the branch office was too far away and there were 3 days left until I left the country.
You can drop it in the mailbox like I did, or you can deliver it face to face. If you ask me to put it in your mailbox, be sure to tell me the front door password.
I completed receiving the card in 2 business days, and went into the Travel Wallet app to register the card. Card registration is required. Be sure to complete the card registration as payment cannot be made without card registration.
Can’t I pay and withdraw money with my mobile card?
In this cutting-edge era, you can’t pay with a mobile card… However, in reality, Travel Wallet’s mobile card can only be used when shopping online or sending money to friends. In reality, when making a payment or withdrawing money from an ATM, you must always pay with a physical card.
How long does delivery take?
It takes approximately 5-10 business days, but depending on the region and the delivery source, delivery may be faster. Due to the rapid increase in demand for overseas travel, delivery of the Travel Wallet card will take a long time, so if you are in a hurry, be sure to request urgent delivery. You must make your request to the Jeniel system, not the Travel Wallet customer service center.
Do you only deliver in person?
Like me, they also provide non-face-to-face mailbox delivery or proxy pickup. However, be sure to register your card.
What are the benefits of Travel Wallet?

Both of these fees are waived with the Travel Wallet card. Currency exchange fees are also low. There is a 0% exchange fee for major currencies: US Dollar, Euro, and Japanese Yen. A currency conversion fee of 0.5-2.5% is charged for other currencies.

If you go abroad and pay by card, just swipe. The Travel Wallet spot card is linked to the wallet within the app, so prepaid foreign currency is withdrawn like a check card. Therefore, you can exchange foreign currency in advance before receiving the card. Mobile cards are also linked to the wallet within the app.
