The Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation conducts a review to see if it meets the requirements for return support.
If you are determined to be eligible for return support for erroneous remittances, the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation verifies the recipient’s information through the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, financial companies, and telecommunication companies.
A transfer notice is sent to the recipient of the erroneous remittance stating that the erroneous remitter and the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation have entered into a transfer agreement for the unjust enrichment refund claim.
Recommend to the recipient to voluntarily return the product by phone, text, etc.
When the recipient of a mistaken remittance returns the mistakenly remitted amount to the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation, the cost of voluntary return is deducted from the returned amount and the mistakenly remitted amount is returned.

If the recipient of the erroneous remittance does not return the money
This is what to do if the recipient of a mistaken remittance does not return the money. The Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation may request a payment order from the recipient through the court. If the recipient of the erroneous remittance returns the erroneous remittance amount to the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation in response to the court’s decision to order payment, the erroneous remittance amount will be returned after deducting the costs incurred in obtaining the payment order.

If the recipient does not return the money within the deadline set by the court, the assets of the recipient of the erroneous remittance will be identified and seized, and the erroneous remittance amount will be recovered.
