※ This article was not written to guide you on how to register a joint certificate with another bank. (I’m the only one who wastes time… You can refer to this article and decide whether to use co-certificate in the future.)
Although I rarely use joint certificates (old public certificates), I do not know when and how they will be used, so I renew them every year before they expire.
Shinhan Bank, the main bank, renewed today, and now the rest of the banks are trying to register other bank/other institution certificates as before, but the renewed certificate is not visible as shown in the capture below.
The renewal certificate is not visible in other bank apps other than the one you renewed.
I thought the phone was strange and rebooted, but I couldn’t see the same certificate… Looking at the announcements related to joint certificates from each bank, due to Google’s Android OS/app security policy reinforcement from November 21, the joint certificate shared folder as before (Folder name: NPKI) cannot be used and a joint certificate must be stored in each bank app folder. 케이뱅크 타행 공동인증서
In other words, the Shinhan certificate is in the Shinhaeng Bank folder, and the KB certificate is in the KB folder… Each bank app on mobile must have a joint certificate.
Below are the announcements captured from each banking app…
Left) Hana Bank / Right) Industrial Bank of Korea 이베이스매뉴얼
Left) K Bank / Right) Toss
The conclusion is that the co-certificate cannot be registered on the app from mobile as before, and it is possible only by using another device (PC or mobile)…
Speaking of PCs,
1) The renewed certificate must be transferred to the PC,
2) Go to each bank’s website and register the other bank’s certificate on your PC.
3) After registering, import the certificate from mobile.
It’s annoying, but I tried to register certificates only for the banks that I mainly use.
As anyone in the know knows, bank security programs are very heavy and slow down when installed on a PC. So I don’t do banking transactions on my PC as much as possible, but even if I do… I delete it immediately after doing it.
Anyway… In order to use the co-certificate on mobile for each bank, you must install a certificate program on your PC to move it to your mobile… I rarely use it… but I wanted to do it this far… so I decided not to. …Decision… (Really Hyeontaom…)As shown in the above capture, the bank site guides you to the joint certificate management program installation page.
Joint certificate program installation completed (Shinhan Bank)
I installed Shinhan Bank’s certificate management program. (Certificate export function) Since the validity period of the co-certificate is short at 1 year, it was annoying to do this every year from before, but it has become more and more cumbersome due to security enhancement… Now it seems that it is time to switch to a financial certificate. ..
I don’t need it right now, so it’s a joint certificate…a financial certificate…whatever…
Stop… After… For now, I won’t do it today…
