1. How to check T-money balance
1.1. T-Money Card & Pay Homepage
You can check the balance after registering as a member on the T-money Card&Pay website and registering your card.

 

T-money
1) Access T-Money Card & Pay website

If you search for ‘T-money’ on the portal, you will find ‘T-money’ and ‘T-money Card & Pay’ homepages. You can also go to the T-money website and go to Card&Pay, but you have to go anyway, so please use T-Money Card&Pay (pay.tmoney.co.kr/index.dev).

 

When you access the T-Money homepage, click [Personal] T-Money & Pay on the gray bar at the top to go to the T-Money Card & Pay homepage. The screen on the right is the screen accessed through T-Money Card & Pay.

 

 

 

After logging in, on the main screen, find the card registration on the screen like the one above and click it. Then, you can choose between a regular card, a child/youth card, and a foreigner card.

Enter the T-money card number on the front or back of the T-money card or, if you have a CVC number, enter the three-digit CVC number. In order to receive the service, you must complete the service registration in the next step for the application of child/youth rates, income deduction, and integrated T mileage accumulation.

 

2-1) Service registration

Go to My T-Money>Registered Card Status and click ‘More’

For the registered card number, you can easily apply for and cancel desired services, such as child/juvenile rate application and income deduction.

In the case of children, between the ages of 6 and adolescents, between the ages of 13 and 18.
Income deduction
– After registering as a member on the T-money Card & Pay website, register the card you want to receive income deduction for.
– If you check ‘Income deduction’ when registering for service, you can receive income deduction for year-end settlement of the amount used from the time of service registration.
Lost/Stolen
In case of loss/theft of the card, we will compensate you for your valuable amount. You must register your public transportation safety card with the lost/theft service to receive service benefits.

3) View usage history

Transaction History Inquiry You can search the usage history of the registered card by setting a period after consenting to the user. The current balance is the balance remaining after the most recent usage among the usage history.

 

1.2. Mobile T-money app: Android users

Mobile T-money is a service that uses NFC-enabled Android phones and SIMs as T-money. Payment is done by tagging the back of the mobile phone to the terminal without turning on the APP or screen. It is said that charging can be done at offline charging stations such as subways and convenience stores and APPs like T-money cards.

2) Menu > T-Money Card > Balance Inquiry

When you press Balance Inquiry, a screen stating ‘Please put your T-money card on the back of your phone’ appears.

Because NFC is used for short-range wireless communication, the NFC function must be turned on in the user’s mobile phone.

 

1.3. Dam Dam (formerly Bubi NFC) App – iPhone, Android
Since iPhone does not have NFC function, you have to pay with a physical card. However! Recharge and balance inquiry can also be done through the app. Dam This is how to use the dam (formerly Boobi NFC) application.

When ‘Ready to scan’ appears on the screen, hold the card to the iPhone camera and a ‘Transportation card approval is complete’ screen appears. The balance is displayed, and a recharge is possible.

 

1.4. Convenience store, subway station, ATM machine
If it is difficult to check the balance online, you can easily check the balance by using a nearby convenience store, subway station, or ATM machine.

 

2. How to refund T-money balance
There is a way to refund the balance when T-money is no longer used or the card is broken. Please note that the method of converting points, refunding the normal card and refunding the defective card are different.

2.1. Switch to Naver Pay
You can convert your T-money balance into Naver Pay by using the Dam Dam (formerly Bubi NFC) application introduced earlier. You need to register as a member, and you need to verify your mobile phone number and enter your password.

2.2. Normal card balance refund

How to refund T-money
▶ Refund

T-money service center in subway station – Metropolitan subway lines 1~8 (but mobile T-money cannot be refunded), Seoul line 9, Incheon subway line 1~2
T-money headquarters, bank ATMs, convenience stores, etc.

 

However, partial refund service is only available at T-money headquarters and T-money service centers in subway stations.
※ Partial refund amount limit: Refund request amount from 10,000 won to 50,000 won (partial refund amount 10,000 won per unit)

 

– If the balance exceeds KRW 50,000, you can visit the T-money head office or use an ATM with a T-money balance refund function to receive a refund to your bank account. However, mobile T-money, Homeplus (Jjang Plus) cards, and entry-level cards are non-refundable at ATMs.

– ATM refunds can be made up to 500,000 won per month based on your resident number, and the refund amount will be deposited into your bank account.

– U-Pass Card (advanced/advanced type), Top Cash Card, and T-Money Card (advanced type) can be refunded only when the actual product is returned.

※ Refunds are limited if you refuse to agree to the collection of personal information in the refund envelope or if your signature is missing when submitting by mail.
