서울시 청년수당 신청Seoul City is recruiting approximately 4,000 participants for the second round of youth allowance. Applicants can apply online through the Seoul Youth Portal (youth.seoul.go.kr) from 9 a.m. on June 14 to 4 p.m. on June 17.
Required documents to be submitted are a certificate of final education (middle school, college, graduate school graduation/completion/dismissal/drop-out) and an employment contract (optional).
Those eligible for the second round of support are unemployed young people aged 19 to 34, residing in Seoul according to their resident registration as of the date of application, and two years after graduating with the highest level of education.
Even if they are enrolled in employment insurance, short-term workers (part-time workers, part-time workers, part-time workers, etc.) working less than 26 hours a week or less than 3 months can participate in the youth allowance project.
In the case of income requirements, the median income must be 150% or less, and the monthly health insurance premium as of May 2021 is 277,765 won or less for local subscribers and 252,295 won for office subscribers.
However, ▲ Participants in projects similar to the Seoul Youth Allowance, such as the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s National Employment Support System, unemployment benefits, and the Seoul City Youth Rent Support Project, ▲ Those who have already participated in the 1st Seoul Youth Allowance from 2017 to 2021, ▲ Basic livelihood recipients and the next lower class ( Recipients of livelihood, housing, medical, and education benefits) are excluded from support.
Unemployed youth within two years of graduation and youth from the next lower class (less than 50% of median income) who do not meet the Seoul Youth Allowance requirements can apply for the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s National Employment Support System after checking the requirements.

The final selected youth will receive activity support funds of 500,000 won per month for up to 6 months from July to December, and can participate in youth vitality programs operated by the Seoul Youth Activity Support Center, such as online mental health counseling and job search.

Youth allowance can be used for a variety of activities according to the purpose of the business. It can be used not only for direct job search expenses such as education expenses and reading expenses, but also for food expenses, communication expenses, and transportation expenses. However, the Youth Allowance Card has a clean card function, so payments are restricted to some industries unrelated to job seeking, such as luxury hotels, gun sales, and entertainment bars.
The city plans to quantitatively evaluate residence requirements, graduation requirements, income requirements, etc. to select all applicants who meet the basic requirements, and if the number of applicants exceeds the number of applicants, low-income people (those with low out-of-pocket health insurance premiums) will be given priority.

The selection results can be confirmed individually through the Seoul Youth Portal My Page after 4 p.m. on July 9th. Afterwards, you must proceed with the essential tasks of watching the orientation online, signing an agreement, and opening an account to pay the youth allowance.

The first payment date is July 28, and other details, such as recruitment schedule and qualifications, can be confirmed through the notice posted on the city website and Seoul Youth Portal.
