국민연금 환급금The National Health Insurance Corporation announced on the 2nd that it will operate an ‘insurance premium refund settlement period’ until the 13th to return overpaid and incorrect health insurance and national pension premiums.
As of the end of May, the unclaimed refund amount was 15.6 billion won for health insurance and 21.8 billion won for national pension, totaling 37.4 billion won.
The corporation returned 99.1% of the refunds for health insurance and 98.8% for the national pension that occurred due to late employment or resignation reports at workplaces or subscribers’ failure to report property changes on time.
The Corporation believes that in the case of local health insurance subscribers, about half of the refunds are small amounts of less than 50,000 won, so interest is low and so they do not seek it out. There were many cases where representatives did not visit the workplace due to business closures, etc.
In order to return refunds, the corporation operates a liquidation period and provides information by phone or mail. Subscribers who receive information can immediately check and apply for a refund through the Internet, mobile app (M Health Insurance), or customer center (1577-1000) without visiting the corporation.
In collaboration with the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute and the National Tax Service, starting from May this year, in addition to the Corporation’s website, the Social Insurance Integrated Collection Portal (si4n.nhis.or.kr), Minwon 24 (www.minwon.go.kr), and the Four Major Social Insurance Information Link Center (www. .4insure.or.kr), Financial Supervisory Service Fine (fine.fss.or.kr), Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings & Clearings Institute My Account at a Glance (www.payinfo.or.kr), National Pension Service (www.nps.or.kr), You can also apply for a refund through banner linkage on the websites of related organizations that are frequently used, such as the National Tax Service (www.nts.go.kr).
