Where do you store and use contacts on your smartphone? I save and use it easily with account synchronization. If you save with account synchronization, it is very convenient and good because even if you change or reset your phone, just add the saved account and it will automatically synchronize and all your contacts will be restored as is. However, sometimes you want to back up the saved contacts or move them. Or, there may be times when you change accounts and want to move to a new account. What should I do in cases like this? Should I add and save all my contacts one by one?
There’s an easy way to back up, restore, and move your contacts with just a few simple touches. Shall we set out to find out together right now?
First, let’s learn how to back up saved contacts. Please launch Samsung Contacts.
Then, click the ≡ icon in the upper right corner and click Manage Contacts.
Then go to import/export contacts.
Import is the button used to restore backed up contacts. You need to make a backup first, so click the export button below.
Now you can choose where you want to save the contact backup file. If you select internal memory, the backup file will be saved in the internal memory, if you select SD card, the backup file will be saved in the SD card, and if you select SIM card, the backup file will be saved in the SIM card. I chose to play it safe and go with the SD card. Select the desired location and click the export button at the bottom to complete the backup.
Now, let’s check the backed up contact files. Go to the My Files app and go to the SD card.
* If you saved it to the internal memory, you can go to the internal memory.
Your backed up contact files will then be safely stored like this. You must have this backed up contact file to be able to restore it, so it is important to back up this file safely!
Now you need to restore the backed up contacts to a new or reset phone, right? Go back into the Contacts app, click the ≡ icon in the top right corner and go to Contact Management.
And click the Import button to restore.
Please select the location where you saved the contact backup file. I backed up to an SD card, so just select the SD card. Then, select where you want to restore your contacts. If you select Samsung account, they will be restored to your Samsung account, if you select to phone, they will be saved to your phone, and if you select Google, they will be saved to your Google account. Select the desired restore location and click the Import button at the bottom.
I chose my Google account. Your contacts will then be restored to the location you selected.
If you follow the steps above, you can easily back up and restore your contacts. Next, we will learn how to move saved contacts to another account or another location.
Go to the Contacts app, click the ≡ icon in the upper right corner and go to Contact Management.
Then select Move Contact.
First, select where you want to move the saved contacts. For example, if your contacts are currently saved in your Google account, you can select Google. After making your selection, click the Done button at the bottom. Finally, you just have to choose where you want to go. For example, if you select a mobile phone, contacts from your Google account will be moved to your mobile phone, and if you select a Samsung account, contacts from your Google account will be moved to your Samsung account. After selecting, press the move button at the bottom and you are done.
Once you’ve completed the move, you can now check it in the Contacts app. Tap All Contacts and tap the location you saved or moved to. If you go to your Google account, just select Google.
Then, all contacts moved this way will be displayed.
If you have saved contacts to your Samsung or Google account and want to automatically synchronize them whenever you add or delete contacts, please remember that the sync button in the notification bar must always be turned on.
We learned how to simply back up, restore, and move contacts. If you follow the method above, you can easily back up and move your contacts to another phone, and even if you change accounts, you can move them to the new account at once, so it is very convenient and useful. The most basic function of a smartphone is the phone function. The call reception screen also plays an important role. You can also use third-party phone apps, but if you’re using a Samsung Galaxy, you can use Samsung Phone by default.
